The course includes Neurology stations, Ophthalmology stations, patients and practical demonstrations. The course content is targeted to the Neurology and Ophthalmology conditions commonly encountered in the MRCP PACES exam.

Registration starts at 8.30am. Teaching starts at 9.00am. The course ends at 5.30 pm.

The course fee includes VAT at the current rate.

- The structure of the stations

Candidates will rotate through sessions as follows:
There will be 7 specialist stations, each lasting an hour with a wide selection of patients in each one.
5 sessions will feature Neurological cases, and 2 sessions Ophthalmological cases.
All candidates will go through a mock Neurology and a mock Ophthalmology (Station 5) exam!
The cases will directly reflect the types of conditions which come up regularly in the PACES exam itself.
Teaching is provided by senior neurologists and ophthalmologists in groups of between 4-6 candidates.
Candidates will be able to examine patients in detail, and will receive immediate feedback on performance.
If you prefer to apply by post or fax please click here and print the form (you can fill it in online or offline). Do take into account, however, that it is only through booking online that you will be able to guarantee yourself a place here and now.

The course fee includes tea/coffee and a buffet lunch.

We believe it is important for candidates to be familiar with their own tools, as part of good exam preparation. Candidates should therefore bring their own ophthalmoscope to the course.

Ealing Hospital is unable to provide any accommodation for candidates attending this course. The venue page provides details of helpful accommodation agencies.

Any cancellation must be received in writing. In the event of cancellation 10 days or more before your allocated course, a fee of 50 will be deducted. - Candidates' comments
"Many thanks for your support and guidance in helping me pass PACES. The quality of teaching was excellent, most notably from the Opthalmology team. I will be recommending your course to everyone." Dr SGW

"Just to let you know that I heard that I passed PACES. Thank you very much for the help! I think your course was the strongest that I went to in terms of putting individuals on the spot to do a station 5 without prompting. It also was the best at making us rehearse common st 5 presentations e.g. scleroderma, RA, psoriasis and diabetes." Dr M Peterzan, Newham CT1

"Earlier i contacted you as i was planning of attending the Ealing PACES course. I did attend your course in Feb 2011 and allow me to admit that it was of great help to me. The 2 days course not only helped me recognize and correct my weaknesses, it was my very first exposure to foreign patients and doctors. With great pleasure i want to inform you that i passed my PACES in the first attempt and i attribute my success to the well structured Ealing course. Thanking you and your team." Dr M M Alam

"First of all it was a good experience at Ealing! Thank you for the efforts by staff and smooth organisation!" Regards Dr F Alam

"The best teaching I have ever received. Excellent variety of patients. Really excellent exam tips. FANTASTIC: 20 out of 10. Made neurology exciting!"
