Dr Stephen McAdoo studied at the University of Cambridge and University College London, graduating with Distinction in 2004. Following SHO rotations in London, he was appointed to the north Thames renal rotation in 2008. In 2010, he was awarded an MRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship, during which he investigated novel treatments for glomerulonephritis and systemic vasculitis, leading to completion of a PhD in 2014. He continues to develop his research and clinical interests in this field in his current post as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Renal Medicine at Imperial College.

Throughout his training, Steve has contributed regularly to undergraduate and post-graduate clinical teaching, including ‘skills lab’ teaching of practical procedures. He completed the TIPS course whilst training at UCLH, he is a qualified ALS instructor, and he lectures regularly on national courses for MRCP Part I and II written examinations. He has been a member of the Ealing PACES team since 2010, and continues to enjoy meeting the variety of interesting cases that attend each course.
